Victorian velvet and glass-top dresser box

A circa 1870-1890 brown velvet dresser box with a beveled glass top. Likely made to display and store gloves or other textiles such as handkerchiefs and collars.

Velvet has a little wear on the top and key is missing. 

Measures 10.25" wide, 8" deep, and 3" tall.
